The inspiration for the name of the center comes from the maternal grandmother of Iden McCollum, who encouraged Iden at an early age to become independent and resilent.  Iden's dream and hope is that every person who enters the Ida Mae Campbell Wellness & Resource Center will experience that same spirit of support, encouragement, and family.  Iden is an award winner for his community service work, sits on the board of directors for the University of Legal Services, serves as Chairperson for the DC Rehabilitation Services Administration SRC Council and has delivered numerous professional presentations to associations, hospitals and other community organizations.
